Job Summary: The Technical Director is responsible for the successful management of aircraft and engine transitions.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • Technical project management of aircraft and engine transitions, conversions, sales and acquisitions  
  • Provide technical sign off and coordinating with other departments and external bodies on transition issues
  • Preparation and monitoring of technical budgets for transitions and conversions
  • Negotiation of technical aspects of lease, sale and purchase contracts with counterparties
  • Capable of identifying potential exposures in existing language (or omitted language) of third-party lease agreements being evaluated for an aircraft purchase with a lease in place.
  • Technical input in LOIs and contracts for lease, sale, and purchase transactions
  • Management of onsite technical consultants
  • Review of maintenance reserve claims
  • Plan or coordinate activities concerned with investigating and resolving customers' reports of technical problems with aircraft or aerospace vehicles.



Required Experience & Skills


  • Relevant technical qualification and at least 5 years’ experience in a related role
  • Prior aviation industry experience in an airline, aircraft leasing or with aircraft deliveries
  • Extensive project management of aircraft transitions is essential
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Current passport and ability to travel internationally
  • Strong communication, consultation, and relationship management skills
  • Detail orientation with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Adaptability
  • High energy, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor
